Plans for a 5-star luxury resort in the heart of McLaren Vale have been unveiled – with an opening date pencilled in for January 2026.
The McLaren Vale Resort will feature a two-storey hotel, with 124 rooms and separate stand-alone suites.
A trendy lap pool will be encased with towering sandstone walls for privacy, including an elongated lounge area with cabanas and daybeds.
The resort also aims to tap into McLaren Vale’s famous epicurean scene, with a 100-seat fine dining restaurant with views of the surrounding vineyards.

McLaren Vale Resort will span almost eight hectares, sitting just off Seaview Drive close to Bekkers Wine, Oliver’s Taranga Vineyards and White Hill Estate.
In a planning application submitted to the state’s planning department, the hotel is also set to feature an event centre for 250 guests, a wellness centre and sauna and gym.
Towering sandstone walls will create private spaces on the grounds.
The resort will be the latest addition to premium hotel group, Lancemore, which currently has seven boutique hotels spotted around Australia.
It’s the hotel group’s first for South Australia, and the focus on establishing the development as a premium tourist destination for the state.
Construction of the McLaren Vale Resort will start in January 2024, with completion expected by January 2026.
